Community, Cultural and Social Development

We support the work of community planning and networks through the Local Community Development Committee, LEADER funding, the Strategic Policy Committee and County Wicklow Public Participation Network. Community planning groups and networks are an essential part of socio-economic development to ensure strong communities, effective services and an excellent quality of life.

Age Friendly Wicklow, Heathy Wicklow and County Wicklow Local Sports Partnership work to improve health, physical activity, well-being and participation across the County.

Community and recreation development is a key component of our work including outdoor recreation, social inclusion and community activation, libraries, arts and community funding, to identify, develop and implement projects that will improve quality of life in County Wicklow.
