Wicklow Dementia Support
Wicklow Dementia Support is a charity operated and staffed by volunteers to help people with dementia retain their independence and to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Services include:
AlzPals
Befriending service for people with dementia to support them to continue to engage in their interests and activities. It also supports the carer by providing a break for them.
Activity Groups
Social groups where people with dementia and their families meet on a weekly basis.
Carers Support Groups
Monthly meetings for carers of people with dementia to meet and support each other.
Bereavement Groups
Monthly meeting for those who have experienced loss.
Musical Memories
Musical Memories meets every Friday morning at Saint Patrick’s Parish Church. It is very popular and interactive and is specifically for people with dementia and their family carers. Songs of old and new are shared.
