G.R.A.S.P.

G.R.A.S.P. (Greystones Resource Autism Support Parent group) is a support group started by a group of local parents to provide information and support to families and individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Conditions (and other neurodevelopmental challenges). It is based in the Greystones and surrounding area of Co. Wicklow. 

Founded in November 2012, the aims of G.R.A.S.P. are:

• To provide information and support for parents/carers in a confidential and safe settIng;

• To provide support meetings for parents/carers of pre-school and school-age children as well as adolescents and adults with an ASC;

• To provide a specialized program of useful talks and workshops by relevant professionals throughout the year;

• To link in with other support groups, agencies and organisations to provide members with an up-to-date schedule of relevant dates and events;

• To advocate for members and their families;

• To provide members with a useful monitored Facebook group, page and website;

• To provide a confidential phone line for new and existing members (TBC);

• To negotiate discounts for our members;

• To be an outreach place for parents to meet up and chat over coffee, occasionally to socialise or co-host events (fundraisers).
