Bray Area Rough Sleepers Support (BARSS)

The Bray Area Rough Sleepers Support (BARSS) is a voluntary “soup run” which operates 365 days of the year. BARSS receives no government funding and wholly relies on the generosity and support of the local community. The group's objective is clear and simple: to provide hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks every night to anyone who is in need, with a “no questions asked” policy, and to feed anyone who requires their service. In addition, they sometimes provide other small items such as sleeping bags, gloves, hats, scarves etc, when requested. The group comprises a small team of local volunteers.
